ENROLMENTS

The Victoria International School of Sharjah is now accepting enrolments from Nursery and Early Learning (KG1) to Grade 13 for the Academic Year, 2011-2012.

The VISS Enrolment Office is open from Sunday – Thursday from 8:00 am to 3:30 am (8:30 am – 2:00 pm during Ramadan). The best way to get to know whether a school is the right for your child is to visit it. School tours are available each Wednesday at 11.00 am, commencing from Gate 3. Please call the Registrar on 06-5993231 if you would like to join a tour.

Assessment and Enrolment process:

1-           Pre assessment

As VISS has a rigorous academic education, all students must undertake an assessment prior to entry into the school, to determine whether they can manage the academic program. 

The pre-assessment process is as follows:

·         Obtain a  Pre- Assessment form either by collecting one from the Enrolment Office at the school (Enter via Gate 1) or by downloading it here (Pre Assessment Form 2011-2012). (Please note your computer will require Adobe Acrobat Reader to be installed before using the form. You can download adobe reader by clicking here).

·         Complete the form with all the necessary details.

·         Return the pre-assessment form to the school through one of the following methods:

o    By email to registrar@viss.ae OR

o    In person to the VISS Enrolment Office OR

o    By post to ENROLMENT OFFICE, Victoria International School of Sharjah, PO Box 68600, Sharjah. UAE

·         VISS will contact you within a few days to inform you of your child’s assessment date and time.

·         At the assessment, please pay the assessment fee of AED 200/- per child, and submit your child’s previous school report and a copy of his/her passport. The assessment will not take place until the assessment fee is paid. This fee is non refundable and non deductible.

·         Your child will need to be on time for assessment.

·         Following the assessment, VISS will contact you to inform you whether your child has been accepted for enrolment.

SPECIAL NOTE - Having other siblings enrolled at the school does not guarantee entrance at VISS.

2.    Enrolment

Once your child has been accepted for enrolment, please complete the enrolment pack.  For a copy of the enrolment pack please click here

Please submit the enrolment pack to the Enrolment Office together with the enrolment fee of 2000/- AED per child and the following documents.

·         2 Copies of child’s valid passport with valid residence visa

·         2 Copies of child’s birth certificate

·         2 Copies of father’s passport

·         2 Copies of child’s Medical/Immunization record

·         Four passport sized recent photographs of child

·         Transfer certificate (for students enrolling from outside the UAE). Please click here to download the Transfer Certificate

·         2 Copies of family registration book (for UAE nationals only)

 

The enrolment fee of 2000/-AED per child will be credited against your child’s first year’s tuition fees.
